Proyem, the animal feed brand of Matlı Şirketler Grubu, participated in the 15th Mesopotamia International Agriculture and Livestock Fair, held from 30 April to 4 May 2024 at the Mesopotamia International Fair and Congress Centre in Diyarbakır. Among the 314 brands at the event, Proyem's stand attracted considerable attention from visitors and regional dealers alike.
As the region's largest agricultural gathering, the fair gave Proyem a key opportunity to expand its business reach, forge new producer partnerships and highlight its service quality. Matlı Şirketler Grubu Chairman of the Board Özer Matlı attended in person to meet with dealers. During the fair, Proyem sponsored a Kid Incentive and Beauty Contest — the owner of the winning animal received 10 bags of Proyem-branded feed as a prize.
Responses from Officials and the Industry
The opening ceremony was attended by representatives from provincial governorships, municipalities, chambers of commerce and industry, and civil society organisations from Diyarbakır and the surrounding region.
Diyarbakır Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DTSO) Chairman Mehmet Kaya recalled that agriculture has its origins in Mesopotamia, stating: "Our responsibility is to develop the geography, gastronomy and tourism of agriculture. Passing on this heritage to future generations must be one of our most important duties."
Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality Co-Mayor Doğan Hatun underlined the contribution of such events to regional development: "For our people to benefit from modern techniques and achieve better yields from the land, fairs like this need to become more frequent. We are ready to do whatever is needed."
